THEME: UNITE to End Digital Violence against all women and Girls.

The 2025 message for the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence is centered on “UNiTE to End Digital Violence against All Women and Girls.” This year’s campaign highlights the urgent need to address how digital violence including online harassment, image-based abuse, and gender-based cyber-violence disproportionately impacts women and girls, especially adolescents who face significant risks in virtual spaces rife with gender bias and misogyny. The campaign calls for collective action to create safer online environments, support survivors, hold perpetrators accountable, and promote respect and equality on digital platforms. Additionally, the campaign emphasizes the broader theme of positive masculinity and community responsibility, encouraging men, women, boys, and girls to work together to end gender-based violence and femicide. It advocates for reporting abuse, rejecting harmful cultural practices, and fostering supportive dialogues and policies across sectors and communities. This year theme symbolize a brighter future free from violence, reinforcing the call for activism and hope against all forms of gender-based violence in both digital and physical spaces. #UnMuted. #NYECBOVoices. #NyimineNyaloNyimineMalo. #16DayaofActivism.
